Peer Review Process

SCIENCE – International Journal applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published content.

Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial office to assess their compliance with the journal’s aims and scope, submission guidelines, ethical standards, and basic methodological quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage without external review.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent for double-blind peer review, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers selected based on their subject-matter expertise and absence of conflicts of interest.

Review Criteria

Reviewers are asked to assess manuscripts according to the following criteria:

  • originality and relevance of the research;

  • theoretical contribution and engagement with relevant literature;

  • methodological rigor and validity;

  • clarity of presentation and structure;

  • ethical compliance and research integrity.

Reviewers provide detailed, constructive, and evidence-based reports and make recommendations to accept, revise, or reject the manuscript.

Editorial Decision

Editorial decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief or a delegated handling editor, based on the reviewers’ reports and independent editorial judgment. Possible decisions include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. In cases of conflicting reviews, additional reviewers may be consulted.

Revision and Final Decision

Authors receiving revision requests are required to submit a revised manuscript together with a detailed response to reviewers’ comments. Revised submissions may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation before a final decision is made.

Confidentiality and Ethics

All manuscripts, reviewer reports, and editorial communications are treated as confidential. The journal follows the principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in managing peer review, handling conflicts of interest, and addressing any allegations of misconduct.
